I like bear-shifters. I like the clichée that they are big and cuddling, family-people, caring, strong, sweet, a little shy. You know. The typical bear-shifter tropes. That was the reason why I requested Wild About You on Edelweiss, and it delivered exactly what I had hoped it would. Howard and Elsa are destined-to-meet lovers, she a Guardian, him a berserker. His past is hunting him, yadda yadda yadda. The story was quite entertaining, but in the end failed to get deeper under my skin. I didn't expect a real deep story, I remember the first book to be more at the funny side, as well, BUT I expected the plot to be less shallow. It's kind of the "If you create characters, think them through."-thing, especially when it comes to Elsa's family. I feel like the author skipped the really interesting parts, and settled to be more of a mediocre Paranormal Romance, that won't fail to make you smile once or twice, but won't stay with you, either.(Also, my fingers are half frozen off, because I was just outside smoking and it's 5am in Germany, so typing is getting harder and harder. Which is the reason why I'll stop here and hope to get something better together later. Stupid insomnia.)
