The Secret Diaries of Miss Miranda Cheever

The Secret Diaries of Miss Miranda Cheever - Julia Quinn The problem with this one is that he apparently is an asshole. To forgive I need to feel the love. As a reader that doesn't happen often. And even if it does.. I'm resentful. I hold a grudge. And boy, if there's one thing I've managed to be perfect in it's holding a grudge. Also the book sounds.. awkward. She was ten and when she's a grown woman he's already divorced (or whatever, he was married or something like that, right?). Several reviews state that he's hurting her again and again. I dislike that and since he only gets a grip after her near-death-experience I'm not sure if I'll read it.. I am very sure I won't buy it.So, if someone reading this read the novel already - Knowing that I am unforgiving, can't stand novels where the heroine is more in love with the hero than the other way around or where they aren't equals.. Should I read it or rather not? :x
