Dream Warrior

Dream Warrior - Sherrilyn Kenyon Amazon (EUR 5,40)Rating: ReviewDream Warrior is the 4th book of the Dream Hunter-series and the 17th Dark Hunter novel. I actually needed to open my reading diary (yes, I do own such a thing, I did even write this review inside of it and am typing everything down.. Too bad I can't copy the little scribbles. hehe) to remember whom the other books in the Dream Hunter series were about:First we had Dream Hunter, which was about Geary, Torys cousin, and Arik, a skoti. Then there was Uopn the Midnight Clear, a rather short story about celebrity Aiden and onoroi Leta. The third novel was avout Simone and Xypher and is called Dream Chaser. - I'm saying that because they do play a role in the novel. :)I don't really remember if I liked this book. As I've mentioned in my review of the 16th book, it seems that a new plot is starting. And here, again, it becomes more clear. After introducing Jared and Nick's heritage in One Silent Night, Kenyon now introduces us to a new villain. For the record, kid, Summoning a demon to kidnap her, not the best way to meet a woman. It usually backfires on you.The h/h in this book, Cratus/Jericho and Delphine, remind me too much of the typical PNR-constellations. Unloved and rejected hero meets warm and gentle heroine. - Sadly her preternatural nature felt dimmed, but I guess that had to happen to make her the way she was. After all, Onoroi don't really feel much anymore, right? The plot was sometimes only okay, but then in the next moment? Superb. Seriously, I fell in love with the little inside glimpses of.. Well. :) The Jaden and Jared-relationship seems to be freaking awesome, the weird demon was absolutetly cute and I'm so looking forward to read more about all of them.I don't want to talk about what's happening, but in the end several people meet again to fight a common enemy. And I can honestly say that I loved the way we meet some of my long-time-favorites again.I want my fluff-fluff!" Bob wailed.Zarek looked panicked. "Fluff-fluff. . ." He handed the toddler to Jericho. "Hold him for a sec.""I don't think—" Jericho paused as Zarek literally tossed the kid at him. Terrified, he had no choice but to take it.Holding the toddler out in front of him, he wasn't sure what to do with it. He hadn't held an infant in centuries. Eyes wide, he stared at the little guy, who was as startled by him as Jericho was by Bob. The kid was absolutely silent."Look what you did," he snapped at Zarek. "I broke it."Oh, and to finish it properly, here comes the bitch-goddess:If you really love her, Cratus, let her know it every day. And always put her before you and your wants just as you’ve done here today. Take it from someone who knows. Love lost is the hardest burden to shoulder, and it’s one you can never get under. - Artemis-- BookExhibitionism.de
